About can to can

Can to Can project aims to collect the used beverage can (UBC) and recycle them into the new can, whereby our partner will collect 620 tons of UBC (equivalent to 50 millions can) in HCMC, majority it will be carried out at the restaurant, hotel, etc. TBC-BALL Vietnam, Lagom Vietnam JSC (Lagom Vietnam), Thailand's UACJ and Anglo Asia and the MoNRE's Communication Centre have signed an agreement to implement a can-to-can closed-loop recycling project, with the goal of recycling the used aluminum cans into the new cans.

About can to can

The closed-loop can-to-can recycling project is a demonstration of the circular economy model. Circular economy model will contribute to Vietnam’s target of net zero carbon emissions by 2050, as cited by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh in his speech at the Climate Change Conference (COP26).

The project aims to increase the recycling rate of cans in Vietnam, to raise the level of recycled aluminum content available in cans and to create consumer awareness about the benefits of recycling and its contribution to the circular economy. Making New cans from used can only saves 95% of the energy used compared to using virgin aluminum.

This Can-to-Can recycling brings many benefits to the environment, society and country as the used aluminum cans will be collected for recycling into new cans. Besides, this practice will save and protect resources and reduce energy. In addition, it also reduces carbon emissions, reduces the amount of waste going to landfills and creates a green, clean and beautiful environment for Vietnam.
